In order to effectively combat tax evasion and protect the consumer, cooperation with the aim of organizing and creating sophisticated and specialized innovative tools, entitled "Intelligent authentication systems", was signed between the Secretary General of Information Systems (GSIS) Petros Triarchis and Deputy Dean of University of West Attica Professor Panagiotis Kaldis. The scientific coordinator of the project is the Associate Professor of Spyridon Nomikos from the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication and the Director of the Postgraduate Program of Studies "New Technologies and Marketing. Smart Packaging".

The internationally pioneering application is supported by individual innovations and scientific collaborations with research centers in the US, where the basic standards already developed in the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication, through smart electronic devices and appropriate substrates.
