Event for New Year 2019
​
The cutting of the pie of the master program "Intelligent Packaging. New Technologies and Marketing "was successfully held on Friday 25/1/2019.
Greetings and wishes for the new year, Mr. Spyridon Nomikos, the postgraduate and postgraduate students, gave the present to the event.
The cake of the pie fell on the postgraduate student Mr. Komboholi Giorgos, where his gift was the award-winning and extra virgin olive oil of the company E-La-Won.
The precious gift was an offer from E-La-Won as a promoter of the postgraduate program.

Start of the New Study Cycle
​
The opening event for the new semester held on Tuesday 23 October 2018 at the University of West Attica, where it was the beginning of the acquaintance of the new postgraduate students with the professors of the postgraduate program.
Associate Professor and Director of the Masters Program, Mr. Nomikos Spyridon welcomed the new graduate students through a brief presentation of the curriculum and the postgraduate philosophy.
The event was attended by Professor Chiotinis Nikitas, Dean of the School of Applied Arts and Culture, where he welcomed the new postgraduate students, saying "the knowledge they will gain is cutting edge knowledge". The professors discussed with the students stamping the start of the new cycle.

The Food Safety Conference 2018 conference was held successfully at Domotel Kastril on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
The participation of the Master 'Intelligent Packaging: New Technologies and Marketing' was represented by the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Dr. Spyridon Legal.
The conference was geared to highlighting trends and developments in the food and beverage sector through the presentation of good practices of safety, quality, authenticity and traceability.

"Create Green Values with your Packed Greek Products"

With unimportant interest, it was held on Tuesday 5 June 2018 under the auspices of the Association of Materials Manufacturing & Packaging Industries (SYVIPYS) and the Association of Greek Chemicals
the Workshop titled "Create Green Values ​​with Your Packed Greek Products".
The internationally renowned Swiss technician Gerald Lefebvre, who is the founder of ECO6S: Statistical, Environmental & Technical Analysis, made the opening and particularly interesting speech.
German technician Götz Ahrens, project manager of the EUBP (European Bioplastics Association), representing compostable bioplastics manufacturing companies: BASF, BIOTEC, BRASKEM, DUPONT, MITSUBISHI, NOVAMONT, NATUREWORKS and others. presented the actions of EUBP for the new generation of bio-plastics and their applications in the packaging industry. The title of his lecture was "Bioplastics in packaging. Understanding the true potential of bio-based and biodegradable plastics".
During the event, the final draft law on disposable plastics was also discussed, which was announced on 28 May in Brussels.

The lecture of Professor DR successfully passed. PANAK ONDREJ, on the topic "ADDING VALUE TO THE PRINT", on May 24, 17.00 - 19.00, in the projection room of the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication of the University of Western Attica.
This was attended by executives of companies, postgraduate and undergraduate students of the Graphic and Visual Communication Department.
Professor DR. PANAK ONDREJ, through the presentation, outlined the possibilities that a form can bring, a package that adds value to the product itself.

4th Scientific Conference on "Smart Packaging & Marketing"
The 4th Scientific Conference "Smart Packaging and Marketing" was held with great success on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Central Amphitheater of TEI of Athens.
New Year 2018
On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, the 1st graduation ceremony of the postgraduate program was held. There were two (2) homemade pies of Vassiliki Mathioudaki, one (1) for the students and one (1) for the postgraduate professors.
Spyridon Nomikos, the director of the program, made the cut, and the relative distribution of the pieces was undertaken by Maria Kalamara, the secretary of the postgraduate program. The students flourished at Tzortzina, winning a bottle of "E-la-Won" bottle in a pioneering package with nitrogen added to the empty part of the glass bottle to keep the freshness of olive juice unchanged, as well as organoleptic and its chemical characteristics.
The professor flourished in the part of Rosettos Metzitakos won an "ecological" diary of unique design, as well as a "rich gift box" containing red Boutari wine.
In the festive atmosphere of the postgraduate program students and students had the opportunity to exchange wishes for the new year and to develop ideas for the "project" that are working in the research and production of smart applications and packaging.
